COLIN’S BOOKS – STAR WARS SHIP PRINTS – INSIDE STORIES – ABOUT – HOME
HOW THE STAR WARS SHIPS WERE CREATED
In 1974, Colin met George Lucas through his friend Hal Barwood. George came to Colin’s home and spent considerable time studying the kitbashed models that Colin had created to demonstrate a more effective process for model building. While George was trying to nail down a studio to support his film, Colin was busy designing the ships for the original Star Wars movie.. Below are sets of prints depicting the evolution of the ships from a concept sketch to final model.
